Important Tournament Forms
Interactive Tournament Forms (Tournament Data Forms, Expense, Declaration of Independence)
Depending on how your browser is set up. Clicking the link may open the pdf forms instead of downloading them. You will need to save the pdf files to your computer in order to use them. The In The Cards form has a problem with the Team Choice Element 2 field. Your team may have to get creative to fill in that section of the form.
Important: The PDF forms autoscale the text to fit into the boxes on the forms. Do not put so much information into the form that it is difficult to read. ML and SL teams must complete these forms themselves. Team Managers of EL team can complete the form using (only) the words of the team.
Mid-Cities is not requiring page 3 of the Tournament Data Forms (TDF) at the tournament. It will be required at the Affiliate Tournament.
Team Clarifications:
Teams should check the national Website for any clarifications that have been published for their challenges. Click to visit the national site. There is also a link on this page for teams to request their own clarifications. The last date for a team to request a clarification is January 31, 2020.

Site Restrictions
Lights may not be turned off during a teams performance.
The following permanent site restrictions have been established for the Mid-Cities Tournaments. These site restrictions supercede the Rules of the Road. The following are not allowed:
- Helium
- Dry Ice
- Smoke/Fog Machines
- Silly String
For all challenges: Large amounts of liquid will not be allowed at the regional competition. It will be up to the discretion of the check in appraiser as to whether or not your team can proceed safely and without foreseen damage to the site. If you have any questions, you may contact the tournament director at keri [dot] murrell [at] birdvilleschools [dot] net.
Affiliate Tournament rules may differ from ours. It is the responsibility of the advancing teams to check rules at advancing tournaments. The Texas Affiliate will allow dry ice and helium in some Affiliate Tournament locations.
Tournament Fee:
- For registration and payment submitted by 12/6/2019 - $75
- For registration and payment submitted after 12/13/2019 $150
- Changing your teams challenge after you have submitted and paid for your registration is considered a new team registration and you must pay the full registration fee that would be due at the time the change is made. Most school districts WILL NOT pay this fee for your team.
Explanation of how the number of teams that advance to the Affiliate Tournament is determined.
