New URL to register

There were some changes to www.texasdi.org over the weekend.

The URL to register or login as a Team Manager, Appraiser or regional official has changed to register.txdi.org

www.texasdi.org will still be your link for state and general information.

We have a Tournament date and location

Grand Prairie ISD has come through and we now have a tournament site and location.

The tournament will be February 27 at South Grand Prairie High School.

Grapevine Colleyville ISD will once again be hosting the Regional Tournament at Colleyville Heritage High School and Heritage Middle School.  The tournament dates will be February 23, 2013

Texas DI announces "Bonus Team" program.

The Executive Board of Texas DI has implemented a new program to maximize the number of teams that can participate in the Affiliate (State) Tournament.  The number of teams that we can advance to Global Finals is fixed by Destination Imagination, Inc.so it is not possible to run more challenge sites than we are already running.  However, since many challenge sites do not have a full complement of teams, the Executive Board has announced the following.

Site maps with locations for the challenges have been posted on the Tournament page. 

Go to:  http://midcities.texasdi.org/2012tournament to download them.  There is a color and black and white version of the map.  The color map is easier to read but doesn't print very well for those who cannot print in color.

Texas DI announces DI Journey Camp

Texas Destination Imagination is introducing Journey Camp!   Journey Camp is a 3-day, 2-night event full of extreme DI activities, and intensive, strategic workshops that give participants the tools they need to succeed in DI. Participants will have a chance to fly 30 feet in the air while solving instant challenges, learn leadership on horseback, battle burning towers of fire as they race against four other teams, and learn from the most professional and innovative leaders in the fields of technical engineering, performance, improv, structure creation, and community service.

Destination Imagination (DI) is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization. Our purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders.
